OKEMOS - This Tuesday, Township Board members recognizes the small business support day around Meridian township on November 27, the Saturday after Thanksgiving to encourage community members to shop from them.
The Township had been supporting local businesses since the start of the pandemic and continues to do so by creating programs and providing incentives for community members to shop from local businesses.
Director of Economic Development Amber Clark Has been working alongside the Meridian Business Association to establish a small business directory for the township that will be handed out at the Farmer’s Market through canvas shopping bags, in addition to supplying small business promotion gift cards as an incentive for Meridian citizens as Treasurer Deschaine had pointed out. The Board approved the resolution 7-0
