MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - There is an emergency closure at the CN Railroad tracks at Carlton Street and south of Lake Drive. The closure, reported by the Ingham County Road Department, is due to unsafe track conditions and the tracks are completely blocked off to traffic.
The closure is said to remain in place from June to late July. Carlton Street is open to residents before the railroad tracks.
Detours can be found north of the railroad tracks via Lake Drive and south via Haslett Road.
Ingham County Road Department was unable to comment due to the construction being CN Railroad's project and jurisdiction. CN Railroad was reached out to, but did not respond with comments.
