OKEMOS - Okemos was voted as the sixth best place to live in America by Niche.

Niche made their decision based on public schools, cost of living, job opportunities, U.S. based crime and local amenities.

“It is no surprise that Meridian ranks high as one of the best places to live & raise a family,” said Meridian Township town supervisor, Ron Styka. “We were proud when Niche ranked our community number one in Michigan but are elated at being declared the sixth best in the nation.”

The decision was based on data gathered by Niche from multiple sources.

“The residents of this prime community deserve the credit,” said Styka. “They care about education, their homes & neighborhoods, their businesses, the environment, & each other.”
