OKEMOS - To start the Winter 2021 year, Meridian Township Farmers’ Market is now open at the new Marketplace on the Green Venue. Located on 1995 Central Park Drive, Okemos 48864. The Marketplace will be open every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from January to April 2021, where you can shop from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
At the Marketplace, you can enjoy locally grown seasonal produce, fresh bouquets of flowers, and even craft activities for the whole family. The Marketplace is a great day trip for the entire family where the “farm to table” becomes a community experience. On each Market day, there will be approximately 15-20 vendors. Recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) can even use their Michigan Bridge Card to shop for fresh produce. Other programs accepted are the WIC Project Fresh, Double Up Food Bucks, and Senior Project FRESH/Market FRESH coupons. Some vendors are now also accepting credit cards at their booths.
If you are considering making a family trip to the Marketplace, precautions are in place to ensure visitors’ safety, which supports CDC COVID-19 guidelines. For more information about safety guidelines, list of vendor appearances, becoming a vendor, marketplace schedule, or other inquiries, please follow Meridian Township on Facebook.
