MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Michigan’s Electoral College met Monday, December 14th in the Capitol Building to vote for President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr. and Vice-President-elect Kamala Harris.
“This was truly a historic election during the worst public health crisis that we have seen in our lifetimes. Michiganders made a plan to ensure that their voices were heard in November,” said Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
Despite President Donald Trump continuously making false allegations of voter fraud, Gov. Whitmer ensured that the election was “safe, fair and secure.” It was proven that there was no widespread voter fraud anywhere.
Biden is expected to receive over 300 electoral college votes over Trump’s 232 votes. Biden only needed 270 votes to win the presidency.
