MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - On Saturday, December 12th, police arrested a suspect after he fired a rifle while surrounded by police officers.
The altercation took place after police responded to a traffic crash involving two cars around noon at the Marsh Road and Central Park Drive intersection.
One driver, a 32-year-old male from Okemos, fled the scene with a rifle. The suspect then barricaded himself on the roof of the Chili’s restaurant near the scene.
