MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Meridian Township Board will take action on the Silverleaf Housing PUD, planned unit development, to its next meeting where they will take action to approve or deny the development.
This ninety-four-acre development created by Mayberry Homes is planned to be located on Bennett Road between Hagadorn and Hulett Road. The development would be 94 acres and have two entrances on its northside on Bennett Road.
“We went through a pretty grueling, long process in the rezoning of this property and are very pleased on what came out the other end,” said David Straub, Land Development Manager for Mayberry Homes.
The Planning Commission adopted the PUD last month and moved to have the Township Board adopt it as well.
The next Township Board meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 22 for a special budget meeting. Action on the Silverleaf POU will not be taken until the next regular scheduled meeting on October 6.
