Meridian Township Offices Close After Contractor Tests Positive for COVID-19

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, MI - On Sunday July 12th, Meridian Township Manager Frank L. Walsh announced that he was notified over the weekend that one of the employees under contract to install a new HVAC system in the Township's Municipal Building has tested positive for COVID-19, and decided to close the building on Monday, July 13th.

Manager Walsh has taken the following steps to protect the residents and the Meridian Township team including establishing the tracking of the infected worker, hiring a company to disinfect the entire Municipal Building and have suspended the HVAC project to allow time for future testing.

"We apologize for the inconvenience. Our first priority is the health of our team and residents. We appreciate your patience,” Walsh said.
