LANSING - With the summer months coming up, the Lansing Sailing club is getting ready for the 2020 sailing season.
Lansing Sailing Club Commodore Suzanne Tellschow tells HOMTV that they are having virtual meetings and working from home. Tellschow explained that the, ''Normal schedule of events at the club will go on as normal when they are given the go ahead. They normally would have the docks in and have people come out at once, instead they are going to spread out the tasks so people can come out on their own so that they can do their work duties without gathering people together."
Lansing Sailing Club does sailing classes online with a video session, which will include normal racing rules, quiz, and discussion. They are also looking to do something else online so the members can talk to each other and plan for the season.
Tellschow tells HOMTV, "People are very keen on having their boat out on the water and having some alone time,"and she says she and her husband sail by themselves.
