MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - On Thursday September 25th, the Portnoy & Tu's DDS, PD Family Dentistry opened at its new location off I-96 Okemos exit, just east of Okemos High School on Jolly Road.

The community welcomed the new office with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The Family Dentistry owners Dr. Gianh Portnoy and Dr. Bachtrac took pictures with family, friends and staff. A few words were spoken, including Economic Development Director Chris Buck before the ribbon was cut at the front entrance.

At the end of the event, HOMTV spoke with both Dr. Portnoy and Tu and they both explained why their business is important to Meridian Township with Dr. Portnoy saying, "Were the only ones that have a brand new facility with up-to-date technology and doing more procedures than what most normal general dentist would provide. We do implants, sleep apnea and the one day crown, were you can get the crown in one day." Dr. Tu added that, "we do things in house so that a patient doesn't have to go different places to get treatment. We are trained."

Dr. Portnoy and Tu would also like to thank you all of their friends, family, colleagues, MABA members, Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce and everyone else who came out to celebrate with them.
