MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - At the August 26th Meridian Township Planning Commission meeting, members revisited Special Use Permit #19-74011, to add 0.50 acre parcel to Montessori Radmoor School property at 2745 Mt. Hope Road.
Vice Chair Ken Lane and Commissioner Peter Trezise approved the decision for Director of Community Planning & Development Mark Kieselbach to move forward to appeal a minor amendment to the Permit. However, Commissioner Gerald Richards asked Director Kieselbach how the amendment would impact residents living in nearby neighborhoods. Director Kieselbach responded by stating that residents will be notified of any landscape changes and any major decisions that pose potential consequences to neighborhoods.
Finally, Chair John Scott-Craig addressed that there are still concerns between the neighbors and the nearby school, and hopes that there will be better communication from all the neighbors to help rectify this issue.
