UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Earlier this spring the city of Williamston approached Meridian Township about providing recreation services.

Upon providing administrative services for the city of Williamston, Meridian Township Parks and Recreation Director LuAnn Maisner kept some important things in mind.

"We just put it up as a one year agreement just to see how it would go and make sure that we were able to handle the workload and that the Williamston community was happy with having Meridian Township provide services to them." - Meridian Township Parks and Recreation Director LuAnn Maisner

So far the minor changes that have taken place have been a hit throughout the department.

"We just had a meeting with representatives from the city of Williamston last week as a progress meeting just to see how things were going from their perspective and so far every thing is green, there's a green light on everything and the people seem to be very happy."

Williamston residents are able to register for activities being offered through Meridian Township several different ways. Meridian Township accepts payment and registration online and over the phone, or residents can stop by the Meridian Township Service Center.
