MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - While the exterior of the new Whole Foods Market on Grand River Avenue looks nearly finished, the interior has yet to be completed.
Mark Scherrer, who is the Project Architect, made clear in an email that residents may have to wait a little longer before Whole Foods opens their doors.
"Our drawings are currently into the Township for permit, but we are awaiting both a permit and a contractor to be selected. I believe construction doesn't start for several weeks, with the anticipation of having it complete next year," stated Scherrer.
The new store was originally planned to open this summer.
