MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Minor construction will be coming to Meridian Township within the next couple of months. Crews will be replacing the water main on Shaw Street from Lake Drive to Lake Lansing Road.

The project is still in its planning stages; the Township recently received bids and the project will be awarded to the lowest bidder.

Meridian Township Project Engineer Nyal Nunn said, "we will have a road closure from the section of Shaw Street from Lake Drive north to Lake Lansing Road. But it will always be accessible to the residents."

Water mains are the water distribution line that goes from the water treatment plan to residential neighborhoods and commercial districts.
