MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Community members gathered at the Harris Nature Center on Thursday, May 29th to honor the life of Yousun Lee who passed away in 2008 at the age of 16.

The Lee family lived in Okemos for a year while Mr. Lee, Vice President of Samsung, conducted business.

"During this time Yousun, who enjoyed nature and the outdoors, came to love the Harris Nature Center. The Michigan Sugar Maple tree planted in her honor will be used for educational purposes at the Harris Nature Center for many years to come," said Mike Moore, friend of the family and retired MSU professor.

The Lee family came to Meridian Township from Seol, Korea for the dedication ceremony.
