MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - At the recent Township Board meeting, members discussed whether or not local railroads should be part of the quiet zone.

Clerk Brett Dreyfus shared that approximately 42 were in favor and 3 opposed to the petition on this discussion item.

Dreyfus also asked all board members to continue discussing this item at the next meeting while examining the costs and see if this is something the Township can afford.
