EAST LANSING - Despite the giant win of last weekend, the Spartans did not get caught looking past the Hoosiers. they did start the game a little sluggish though, as Indiana struck first blood.
Once the team woke up, Connor Cook was masterfully guiding his offense up ad down the field despite getting sacked multiple times and even leaving the game for a series after he took a shot in the ribs. "The initial hit hurt, but it hurt even worse when he drove me into the ground...it didn't really affect me later in the game" - Cook
Today's story isn't the win and undefeated season, its the maturation of what will soon be the most heralded quarterback in Michigan State's football history. Cook fell just a few yards short of schools single game passing record only a few weeks removed from setting the all time wins record.
Even with the teams continued success, Cook doesn't let the stats and facts jade and distract him from the teams ultimate goal. "can we just go in for one more hitch route? ...I'm joking I didn't say that... I could throw for 15 yards and be happy as long as we got the win" - Cook
After the game even Connors mother couldn't hold back her excitement and despite the rain spartan nation was still ready to celebrate. MSU and Connor Cook win this one 52-26 and are now 8-0 on the year heading into their bye week. Up next, a road game at Nebraska.
