UPDATE: LANSING - This year's flu season was reported to be one of the worst in the past couple of years.

Influenza hits infants and seniors the hardest, but a local registered nurse, Tina Stefanelli, said the influx of senior flu shot patients didn't come in until the peak the of flu season.

Stefanelli also said it is important to keep in mind little ways to stay healthy, such as hand washing.
