UPDATE:
EAST LANSING - Attendees of the program were exposes to different science demonstrations including microscope stations and stations showing how density and polymers work.
The program is sponsored by the Michigan Department of Community Health Bureau of Laboratories, and organizers said they are hoping the exposure will bring more awareness to a field that currently has a shortage of scientists.
"We thought it'd be really cool just to show what we do at the lab, and then just to see that materialize into these little stations where the kids can participate and they're excited about science," said Ninah Sasy, a clinical terrorism lab preparedness exercise coordinator with Explore! Lab Science.
