MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - At the September 23rd Meridian Township Planning Commission meeting, the biggest topic of discussion was the restructuring of businesses and elevation apartments, located in Downtown Okemos and East Lansing, and amenities for Townhouse elevation apartments behind businesses such as Whole Foods.
Principal Planner Peter Menser and Economic Development Director Chris Buck discussed the properties and the Township's Corridor Improvement Authority plans for the number of stories for these buildings. As well as parking lots adjacent to this space along residential areas.
Throughout the meeting, there were debates among members over the use of certain amenities and extended discussions over several maps presented in the building code standards plan.
At the end of the meeting, members and Principal Planner Menser agreed for revision of some of the maps and future work sessions on these topics for a better understanding of these property developments.
