UPDATE:
LANSING - On Saturday, September 29th, the Lansing Model Railroad Club held an open house at their Old Millet Depot located on Old Lansing Road in Delta Township. Amongst club members, local families and railroad enthusiasts were in attendance.
The open house was one out of three that the club holds annually. The next event, however, is scheduled for November 18th, and will be held at the Michigan State University pavilion. The event is $6.00 for adults, and free for children. Michael Frezell, club member and past club president, says that the club expects over two thousand people to be in attendance at this particular train show. Aside from Michigan residents, and even American citizens, past train shows have attracted people from many different countries including Germany, Japan, and New Zealand.
Current members continue to add to the tracks at the Old Millet Depot, often times using their personal collections. The building has gone through some recent renovations to support the track expansion.
The Model Railroad Club meets every Thursday night after 7 p.m. and is always willing to accept new members.
