LANSING - October 29th was national prescription drug disposal day.

The Michigan State Police location in Lansing collected drugs between 10 a.m and 2 p.m. Anybody could come drop off their prescriptions with no questions asked.

The DEA plans to incinerate all the the drugs collected. The agency encourages residents to dispose of their drugs through programs like this, to avoid environmental risk by flushing them.
