UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - There are more than 25 restaurants with outdoor seating in Meridian Township.

The newest opening their doors including the Mayfair Bar in Haslett, and the Purple Carrot truck's non-mobile restaurant the Red Haven.

Co-owner of Red Haven, Nina Santucci said that with the success of the mobile food truck, she and her business partners were ready to take the next step with a brick and morar business.

And at the other corner of the township, the Mayfair Bar which opened it's rooftop patio this past June.

The rooftop seats 45 people, including barstools and chairs overlook Lake Lansing.

And while these restaurants are just opening to the great outdoors, Dusty's Cellar has been offering outdoor seating for its customers since 1995.

"We realized it's just becoming more and more popular and we needed more tables because people wanted to sit outside," said Kevin Cronin, the executive chef at the restaurant.
