MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Individuals and Organizations testified in front of the Senate Energy & Technology Committee this past Tuesday.
The testimonies were in response to Governor Snyder's reports on energy efficiency and renewable energy.
The testimonies included information and data on energy efficiency in Michigan and the importance of having energy efficiency programs.
Jim Dulzo, Senior Energy Policy Specialist for the Michigan Land Use Institute, urged the Committee to take action about energy efficiency.
"When such programs are easily accessible to responsible people, businesses, and institutions, good things happen. So the Michigan Land Use Institute urges you to think big about energy efficiency, please act boldly, and move soon on it," said Dulzo.
Various organizations testified during the hearing including the Christian Coalition of Michigan, the West Michigan Environmental Action Council, the Michigan Interfaith Power and Light, and the Michigan Land Use Institute.
Another hearing regarding renewable energy will be held next Tuesday, March 18th, in the Senate Hearing Room.
