OKEMOS - Elle Nichols of Okemos is a three-time high school state champion who won the 36th Michigan Girls Junior State Amateur by way of a 2-1 victory at Forest Akers East.

Nichols will take flight for the first time on July 14th for the national USGA Women's Public Links at the Home Course in DuPont, Washington. This event will be done in a match-play format and qualifying will be determined by stroke-play.

The Okemos golfer has been on a hot streak as every facet of her game clicking. Nichols is also set to play at Oakland University under seasoned Coach Russ Cunningham. She qualified for the national event at Warwick Hills Country Club which is actually the former site of the PGA Tour's Buick Open.
