UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Studio C Cinemas recently installed Meridian Township's first public electric car charging station.

The charging station was paid for through a grant provided by ChargePoint, the company that manufactures the charging machines. Studio C paid for the installation costs.

Graff Chevrolet in Okemos provided a Chevy Volt to help us demonstrate how to use the new charging station during Meridian Magazine.

There will be a public energy forum on Feb. 22 at 1pm at the Meridian Township building to discuss similar future initiatives. Experts and government officials from around Mid-Michigan will be at the forum and the public is welcome to attend.
