MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Meridian Township Board is looking for new legal services, and the application process for 2015 is about to open up.
The four member committee of Clerk Dreyfus, Trustee Scales, Supervisor LeGoff and Manager Walsh will oversee the process for the entire board.
The deadline for interested applicants is March 31, and the Township Board believes that application will be in the double digits. The committee will review applications, then narrow down the field in the weeks following.
"Those applications will go to the committee, and the committee has been charged with narrowing that field down to three," said Manager Walsh. "Those turning those names over to the full board. Those named will be turned over on approximately April 21."
The process will be completed in early April, after interviews are set up with the final three applicants. If everything goes according to plan, the Township should have a new legal advisor by mid-May 2015.
