OKEMOS - From now until Friday, July 31, Men's Wearhouse in the Meridian Mall will be collecting new or gently used suits and other professional attire as part of their 8th Annual National Suit Drive Campaign. The drive aims to help at-risk men and women who are re-entering the workforce.
Last year, the drive raised more than $200,000. This year, their goal is to raise $250,000.
Accepted items include gently used suits and sports coats, dress shirts and collared shirts, sweaters, casual pants, vests, ties, dress shoes, jackets, long coats and raincoats, women's professional clothing and accessories.
According to Men's Wearhouse's website, in return, they will give anyone who donates 50 percent off their next purchase, as well as provide a tax receipt. They will also donate $1 (up to $25,000) to local nonprofits for every time someone shares their #giveasuit post on Facebook.
