MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The medical marihuana zoning amendment was further discussed at the recent Meridian Township Board meeting.
In order for this amendment to pass, the Board needs a majority vote, meaning four out of the seven votes, according to Mark Kieselbach, Director of Community Planning and Development.
At the recent meeting, there was a resolution to approve it for final adoption; however, there were only six members present.
This amendment failed because the
decision was split down the middle.
The Board would like to bring this topic up again at a future meeting for further discussion.
