UPDATE:
LANSING - Governor Snyder 's recommendations for the upcoming budget puts on emphasis in road funding and public & high education.
It also includes the expansion of Obamacare to help those who are too poor to qualify for subsidized health insurance.
The president's Affordable Care Act calls on states to expand Medicaid to Americans making up to 133 percent above the poverty line.
Proponents for the expansion say that it will be economically beneficial, since Washington would refund 90 percent of the expansion.
"We know that expanding Medicaid will expand money for the states of Michigan and save lives," said Jaqueline Morrison, State Director of AARP Michigan.
But there are people that aren't on board with Snyder's suggestions.
Grassroots founder of Joan Fabiano says that the Federal Government cannot afford this.
"I think that's a pretty good assumption when you have a government thats in trillions of dollars of debt," said Fabiano.
She suggests instead a more open and competitive market.
"I think private market solutions and insurance reforms should be two things that should be looked at to replace failed policy," said Fabiano.
