MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - March is known as National Reading Month, each year school children celebrate this month in various ways.
"Studies have showing that children that read for fun would more likely to be an life lone learners," said Ann Chapman, Head Librarian at the Haslett Library.
She said the Haslett Library will bring story characters to visit the library for celebrating March is Reading Month. She believes this event will always popular, and is interested by children.
Betsy Hull, Head Librarian at the Okemos Library said they will have toddler story time and pre-school story time for kids to sing and read the story for fun. Also, the library designed activities to help English as a secondary language children.
These activities are free to the public. Each library has an event schedule on the Capital Area District Libraries website.
