UPDATE: EAST LANSING - According to the Michigan State University Police Department, Cynthia Marie Spade, 30, and Anthony Robert Shearer, 31, both of Lansing, were arrested and charged each with a false report of a bomb threat. Their arraignment took place on Thursday, July 3.

Shearer is also facing other charges for three prior felony convictions.

Both Spade and Shearer are being held at the Ingham County Jail. Spade's bond is set at $50,000 and Shearer's is set at $75,000.

Their pre-trail is set for July 8 at 8:30 a.m. and a preliminary examination is scheduled for July 11 at 9 a.m.

ORIGINAL STORY: EAST LANSING - On a typical day, about 200 people work in Spartan Stadium, but Wednesday afternoon was not a typical day.

At about 3 p.m. police came rushing through the stadium halls to evacuate the staff due to a supposed bomb threat.

The staff evacuated the stadium in a little over ten minutes, which is one of their quickest times yet.

HR Director for University Advancement, Vivianne Robinson, works in the stadium and said the staff practices drills in the event that there is an emergency.

“This was unusual. It’s not the typical case, but I think when you’re knocking on someone’s door and you say the police say get out immediately, that got people moving a lot faster,” said Robinson.

While officers and bomb-sniffing dogs searched the building, Robinson and other staff members waited across from the stadium at Munn Field until receiving an “all clear” by police officers just before 5 p.m.
