HASLETT - MSU students and community residents recently dedicated their day to service.
Wilkshire Early Childhood Center had an abundance of helping hands to beautify the playground and garden.
Volunteers at this site spent the day preparing garden beds, building a shed and picking up trash and even growing strawberries.
Even in the blistering heat, those who volunteered were excited to be a part of the community betterment.
"Many hands make light work. There's lots of things to be done and there are people who have the time an energy to do so helping out is just a small way to give back to your community," said site leader Julie Brower.
