INGHAM COUNTY - The Ingham County Health Department held its 6th annual Back-To-School Fair August 18th-22nd.
The fair included immunizations, vision and hearing screenings, lead screenings, as well as other helpful information.
"We are working with our partners in town that offer head start and the great start readiness program which is a preschool program helping people as they come to get info about or get enrolled for that. Also obtaining medical insurance as you know we've had a lot of change recently with the affordable care act and the expansion of Medicaid so we've got some outreach and enrollment services going on and just really some basic health education about healthy lifestyles nutritious foods," said Linda Vail, Health officer for the Ingham County Health Department.
All resources at the fair were offered at no cost or reduced cost to attendees.
