OKEMOS - The 5th and 6th Graders at Kinawa School in Okemos had it's annual Strings Concert.
Kinawa has three concerts per year, but the Spring Concert is the favorite according to Orchestra Director, Kristen Terreri because it showcases the student's growth over the course of the year.
The Concert took place at the Okemos High School Thursday, May 26th from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
The theme was based on Spring and flowers blooming, and the kids designed the concert programs.
"It's more than a job and I am fortunate the parents and students value music, states Terreri. " It's the best job, and I love my students."
It was the last performance of the year for Terreri who is moving to New York to be near family.
Kinawa's 5th and 6th grade Principal John Hood, faculty, parents, and students at Kinawa showed their appreciation and reminded Terreri that she would be missed.
