LANSING - A new bill passed through the Senate creating a separate infrastructure fund within the Department of Treasury. The new bill will take effect immediately.
For Michigan residents like Anthony Palmer, though, that doesn't address the main question of roads.
"Any time wintertime comes, they're out here filling holes again, but at the same time, they're not really filling them," Palmer said, readily letting out his frustrations within the governmental system. "Tire rods bent, tires blown, and that's stuff that has to come out of my pocket."
By creating a new fund and amending the 1984 law, the state hopes to increase efficiency. For residents like Palmer, he doesn't care what they do, unless they fix the roads.
"Quit repairing everything else, and start repairing the roads," Palmer said.
