MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - On Monday, March 25, 2013, at 11:45 a.m., Meridian Township Police responded to Independent Bank at 2119 Hamilton Road in Okemos reference a bank robbery.
A white male suspect entered the bank and approached a teller with a note. The teller complied with the note and provided the suspect with an undisclosed
amount of cash.
The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction. K9 units from Lansing Police Department and the Michigan State Police tracked the suspect to a nearby parking lot, where police K9 units terminated their track. The suspect remains at large.
He is described as a white male, mid-twenties, approximately 5’10”, thin build, possibly having brown hair. He wore a black driving cap, mirrored sunglasses, a black dress coat, khaki pants, and white Nike athletic shoes.
The Meridian Township Police Department was assisted by the Lansing Police Department, Michigan State Police, the
FBI and the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office.
