UPDATE:
HASLETT - Memories were made this past Spring as the girls from Haslett capped off their successful tennis season, and while the season may be over, the program is still making noise.
Henry Brunnschweiler has seen his girl's tennis program improve over the years at Haslett High School. They have risen from a team that never made the state tournament, to a school best, third place finish in the state tournament this year. On top of this remarkable season, Brunnschweiler was also named tennis coach of the year in the state of Michigan. An honor that he feels is an indicator of how his coaching skills have progressed.
"Tennis is something I've done for the last 15 years and I've probably done some outstanding coaching jobs, and I've probably struggled like everyone does in every type of coaching job. I guess I'm just happy to recognize I'm starting to improve what I do and learning from year to year, how to be a better coach and leader." - Henry Brunnschweiler, Haslett High School Girls Tennis Coach
Coach Brunnschweiler also mentioned that the support from Haslett Public Schools was an awesome feeling. T-shirts were made and a banquet was also held in honor of the successful girl's season.
