UPDATE: HASLETT - Local middle schoolers are gearing up for the VEX Robotics World Championship next month.

The Haslett Middle School Robotics team builds and programs robots to compete in tournament-style games.

This is the second year of the program at Haslett Middle, which is sponsored mainly by Michigan State University’s Engineering School.

This will also be the second year they will compete in the world championship.

Just like last year, they will compete in the high school division because one teammate is a student at Haslett High School.
