UPDATE:
MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - From Okemos to Africa, the Haslett-Okemos Rotary Club and other local rotary foundations volunteer their time and funds to global causes. The most recent project is a gravity fed water transportation system in Kutamba, Uganda for two schools where over 600 HIV/AIDS orphans receive education.
The schools are run from East Lansing by CNN Hero, T. Jackson Kaguri who is a rotarian.
