HASLETT - The Haslett Beautification Association headed by President Teri Banas, has already started planting flowers just in time for Spring. If you visit the corner of Lake Lansing and Marsh Road. You will start to see beautiful yellow daffodils starting to bloom.
Banas says, "The HBA does what it does because of the volunteer donations from everyday citizens, from certain businesses that contribute and we really really appreciate that. It's all volunteer based, it's donation based. The township is helping us out this year, they started last year bringing a water wagon around and watering our flowers."
If you are interested in joining the HBA there's good news you don't have to be an expert in gardening to help out. Banas says, they will train anybody who's interested in helping make the Haslett area even prettier.
