OKEMOS - On June 15th, construction began at the Hamilton and Dobie Road intersection, as well as the Hamilton and Nakoma Drive intersection.
Although the repaving began on June 15th, there was milling and prep work that was done on Wednesday, June 12th and Friday, June 14th to ensure that completion of the road repaving would be completed.
Hamilton Road is currently closed at the Grand River intersection to allow completion of the repaving; workers are asking those in the area needing to get by to use alternative routes to get to their destinations.
Hamilton Road isn't the first road to be worked on lately and isn't the last as workers still need to complete the repaving of Burcham Drive between Jo Pass and East Hidden Lakes Drive. Drivers can expect detours when work begins there as well.
