OKEMOS, MICH. - On Sunday, October 8th, the four Okemos homes designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright were on a historical home tour.
About 1,000 people came out from all over Michigan and around the country on a self-directed tour for the four homes, built between 1940 and 1948.
Among the four historical homes, the Goetsch-Winckler House was the first built in Michigan, in 1940. More importantly, it is on the National Register of Historic Places which is the most unique one for people to visit.
In Lansing the area, there are about 100 homes which are similar to the Wright’s modernism architectures.
