MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Fire pit season has arrived so make sure you and your family are prepared with these burning permit requirements:

1) When building a fire pit, make sure that the hole is a least 3 feet in diameter and 12 inches in depth.

2) Make sure your that you place your fire pit at least twenty-five from your home or other buildings.

3) Do not burn any non-wooden items such as leaves, garbage, and grass clippings.
