UPDATE: LANSING - The Lansing Downtown Development Authority announced the official title of the Eastwood expansion plan as "the Heights at Eastwood".

The site will feature four new restaurants, a parking structure, and a 5-story apartment complex with retail space underneath.

The main goals for the site were sustainability and to get people to come to the Lansing area.

Steven Hayward is the Executive Director for the Downtown Development Authority and said, "I don't think many people get in their car in Detroit or Grand Rapids and say, 'let's go to Lansing for the day'. So, working with the Convention of Visitors Bureau and the Regional Chamber of Commerce, we've understood that, that needs to happen."

In September of this year, at the 10 year anniversary celebration for Eastwood, they will open the plaza for events and two of the four new restaurants.
