MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - There are so many activities for senior citizens at the Meridian Senior Center.
Line dancing is one class offered, it teaches basic steps and rhythms of the line dance. The class is held every Tuesday and Wednesday at 3p.m. to 4p.m.
"I love this class, it is a lot of fun, I love country music. any kind of dancing we moving around, it just more fun than working out at the gym," said Margo Parker, a student of the line dancing class.
And another class is "Dance Around the World", and it is offerd every Tuesday and Wednesday from 10a.m. to 11a.m.
"We are offering the country line dance class for seniors, if you can walk, you can learn how to dance! We are also offering a Dance Around the World class that I teach. It's a really fun way to experience another culture, it's a fun way to get to know people and exercise, and stay fit, and learn new things at the same time," said Emma Hill, the coach of both dance classes.
Both of these two classes have done their first 8 weeks section already, and the new section will start on March 4th. There is $40 dollars registration fee for each of class. If you are interested, please feel free to call the Meridian Senior Center at 517-706-5045 for any further question.
