OKEMOS - Residents who went out for a bite to eat last night had a chance to give back to their community.

Culver's hosted a Donate While You Dine event at its location in Okemos at 5140 Times Square Dr. From 5 pm to 10 pm, a percentage of every sale is contributed towards funding for the annual Celebrate Meridian Festival.

According to the location's General Manager, Chris Rall, Culver's is one of the main sponsors for the fireworks show, and he's excited to see people coming out to support the event.

Culver's will hold another Donate While You Dine event on Monday, June 17th, while Celebrate Meridian will take place right here in Meridian Township on Saturday, June 29th.
