MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Construction crews have begun the project to upgrade the turn lanes at the intersection of Hagadorn and Mt Hope Roads. The preliminary construction became on Monday, July 11. The construction includes a traffic shift where necessary, and the roads will not be shut off completely during the preliminary stages.

The major construction includes a complete shut-off of Hagadorn Road on the north side of Mt Hope Road. Major construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 25. The detour will follow the CN route try to create a smooth transition between projects. The route for the detour will go from Mt Hope road, to Farm Lane, to Service Drive.

This project includes about a half of a mile of widening and resurfacing the road. There will be a new dedicated southbound left turn lane constructed in the existing median which will improve the flow of through traffic.

Major construction should be completed by August 22, with minor work remaining into September.
