UPDATE:
MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Wardcliff Neighborhood Association hosted a Candidate Forum on Wednesday, October 3rd. Ten out of fifteen Meridian Township Board Candidates came out to answer questions, meet with residents, and talk about why they're choosing to run in this election.
A majority of the candidates spoke about economic development and the overall quality of life in Meridian Township. With property values going down and the cost of living on the rise, fiscal responsibility and planning were, literally, the talk of the town.
A brief segment of the forum allowed for attendees to ask the candidates personal questions and make comments. The atmosphere was relaxed and fair. Everyone interacted in a respectful and productive manner, which, according to residents is a positive indicator for the future of the township board.
