OKEMOS - Six local high schools hit the links on Tuesday, April 26th for the CAAC Blue Boys Golf Jamboree in frigid temperatures and a sky full of overcast. Included in the matchup was East Lansing, Lansing Sexton, Grand Ledge, Okemos, Jackson and Holt.

East Lansing’s top golfer Ian Carroll teed off at the eighth hole hitting a nice drive and landing it right into the rough. He chipped it out of the rough and in beautiful fashion lands it right on the green inches away from the hole. He makes par on the eighth and bogies for three under on the ninth.

“This year we’ve been doing really well we got first last Tuesday and I think we’re doing pretty good today so we’ll probably win again,” says Carroll, East Lansing Varsity Golf Senior.
